By now you know we are quite excitable but working out this particular Pinhack has taken us to a whole new level of excited. Read on to find out how to get yourself double Pinterest goodness and multiple website traffic driving opportunities.
Here at Pinright, we LOVE WordPress. We’ve had years of experience working with it and find it’s perfect for a fully customisable blog and also an online shop. In a previous article, we talked you through how to enable Article Rich Pins for your WordPress website.
Best of Both Worlds
However, we know that many of you out there also have a shop on your WordPress site, so which style of rich pins do you choose – Article or Product Pins? Let us save you the decision – have both! Who doesn’t love having the best of both worlds?
First let me thank our loyal customers for providing us the opportunity to research this, we weren’t sure it could be done but after some
googling thorough research we found a solution. We are so happy to help you all get double rich pin goodness on your websites too by sharing our easy work around with you.
The easiest way to enable Article Rich Pins on WordPress without having to buy a plugin is to use SEO by YOAST. Totally free. Totally awesome.
To add Product Pins requires you to have WooCommerce, it’s a platform we’ve worked with on numerous websites and found it’s really the leader in Shopping Cart software for WordPress. Better yet, it’s free (see a pattern here?).
Next up, grab the WPSEO Pinterest Rich Pins for WooCommerce plugin which automatically adds the Product Rich Pin data by bolting onto SEO by YOAST. Oh hey, and guess what – that’s free too 🙂
Check all is working using the Rich Pins validator and now your WordPress site is enabled for rich pins and product pins. WooHoo!
